Ideal Day Series: Epcot

Katy, the Trips with Angie travel concierge, is sharing her ideal days at Disney World. This is a five part series. Today, we learn about her ideal day at Epcot. To read about her ideal arrival day, click here.

My daughter, being the Frozen fan that she is, we try to get in two Frozen Ever After rides, one first thing in the morning and then again later with a Fast Pass. When the park opens, we head straight there to get in line. We learned that it’s about a mile walk from the front gate to Norway in the World Showcase where the ride is. I think our biggest walking day tends to be Epcot. I can’t stress enough how important a good pair of walking shoes is at Disney World. We spend a lot of time meeting characters. Epcot is the only place you can meet Anna and Elsa as well as Mary Poppins, unless you have a character meal at 1900 Park Faire. Mary Poppins does appear there.

We make sure to go to the following rides and attractions in addition to meeting the characters:
Journey into Figment of Imagination
Living the Land
Turtle Talk with Crush
Illuminations: Reflections of Earth
Visiting all of the countries in the World Showcase

Our family’s ideal Fast Passes are:
Frozen Ever After (Mother/ Daughter)
The Seas with Nemo & Friends (Mother/ Daughter)
Meet Disney Pals at the Epcot Character Spot (Mother/ Daughter)
Test Track (Father/ Son)
Soarin (Father/ Son)
Mission Space (Father/ Son)

Ideal Dining:
For lunch, my husband loves Fish n Chips so he always wants to eat at Yorkshire County Fish Shop. I prefer either Katsura Grill or La Cantina de San Angel. My kids have much simpler tastes and prefer chicken fingers from Refreshment Port.

For dinner we love the Coral Reef Restaurant. You almost feel like you are dining underwater.

Our must have snack:
School Bread from Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in Norway
